The founders of GameWatch have been involved in online and league based gaming for as long as they have existed. We cut our teeth on the Atari, the Commodore, the Amiga. We were there when the release of Doom crashed portions of the Internet. We learned how to coax the Internet Head-to-head Daemon (IHHD) into creating the earliest Internet-based online game sessions. We hacked together an “IPX over TCP/IP” tunneling solution to establish the first wide-area multiplayer games of Descent. Later we alpha and beta tested for the Total Entertainment Network online gaming system, and built the gamer-run TEN Quake Clan league. We beta tested the Kali online gaming system and hosted the Kali St. Louis servers…at the time the most popular multiplayer game servers on the planet. We remember when Case started the earliest online gaming ladders. We were there when Thresh won Carmack's Ferrari at E3 '97. We have hosted dozens LAN parties and launched one of the first retail online gaming centers back in 1995. We remember when Next Generation magazine printed our names as among the truly hard core. In short, we are life-long gamers with a love of the art form and an intimate knowledge of what it takes to provide a premium online gaming experience. The GameWatch Team | ||
